Biomass Fuel Pellet Boiler

After months of research into pellet burning and pellet boilers. They finally decided on a Tatano boiler. The reasons for choosing the Tatano pellet boiler was due to its pellet fuel flexibility and corrosion resistance. The pellet boiler could be used to burn and test a wide variety of fuel pellets including straw pellets, grass pellets, cardboard pellets and obviously wood fuel pellets.

Small Scale Pellet Production and The PelHeat Mobile Pellet Machine

Robert and Christopher believe in the principle of small scale pellet production, using local resources to produce local pellets for fuel. Local pellet production and consumption has several benefits. It reduces raw material and pellet fuel transportation costs, which results in cheaper fuel for the consumer. It also means less carbon emissions due to reduced transportation. It also helps to support the local economy and provide stable green jobs.

PelHeat Mobile Machine

Robert and Christopher worked on the idea of a mobile pellet machine. The machine would be able to be towed by the average hatchback or saloon, and would have its own on-board diesel power unit powering a variable displacement hydraulics system. The machine could mill and compress various raw materials into pellets. The image to the right is of the first prototype, development continues to bring the small mobile pellet machine to market.

The Objectives of PelHeat And Pellet Production and Combustion

Work continues to try and complete development of the mobile pellet machine. PelHeat also wish to promote the use of biomass for fuel pellet production for heat and other energy needs.

PelHeat's Objectives are as follows:

1. To promote both small scale and large scale static and mobile pellet production solutions.

2. To promote the use of biomass, including purpose grown energy crops and waste biomass.

3. To promote the benefits and advantages of biomass energy in the form of pellets

4. To promote local pellet production and consumption to reduce fuel transportation.
