Flat die pellet mills are generally used for pellet production on a small to medium scale. The ZLP range of flat die pellet mills below can process a wide range of biomass materials, for a range of applications. These include wood, straws, grasses and other biomass residues. The ZLP Flat Die Pellet Mills The ZLP pellet mills have a capacity of 100-350kg per hour of 6mm pellets. Raw Material Input Size Raw material for the pellet mill must have passed through sufficient size reduction before it can be placed in the pellet mill. The raw material must have a particle size of 3-5mm or below. Raw Material Moisture Content To produce quality pellets with a good mechanical durability, the raw material must have consistent moisture content of between on average 14-16 %. |

Electronic Self Protection Device All ZLP pellet mills come with a temperature protection device installed on the gear box reducer. If the temperature of the gear box oil exceeds safe operating temperature, the temperature protection device will turn off the pellet mill to protect other components. Pellet Chamber Temperature Protection Device The ZLP 300 and 400 also include a temperature protection device installed in the pellet compression chamber. If the die has become blocked from foreign objects or raw material with an unsuitable moisture content, the device will turn off the pellet mill to protect the motor. Internal Gear Reduction To Increase Pellet Compression The ZLP range has suitable gear reduction for compression of biomass and wood pellets. The increased gear reduction provide more torque to compress high density materials and increase pellet compression and quality. The reduced speed also reduces noise pollution. |
