Small Static Pellet Plants Pellet production includes several processes, we promote individual pieces of equipment including hammer mills, dryers and pellet mills, however we also promote all included small static pellet plants. The small static pellet plants include raw material size reduction, particle conditioning, pellet compression and pellet cooling with fines removal. Particle Size Reduction Before pellet compression can take place, necessary raw material size reduction has to take place. To produce a pellet the raw material must be reduced to particles smaller than the diameter of the holes in the die. Therefore the small static pellet plant comes with a hammer mill included which can process branches with a diameter of less than 20mm and also wood chips. |

Raw Material Conditioning and Pellet Compression One of the key requirements for consistent quality pellets, is the consistency of the raw material. Changes in moisture content and particle density will impact on pellet compression and ultimately pellet quality. The small static pellet plants therefore have a batch mixer to provide a consistent material mix to the pellet mill. Once the material has been mixed it is lifted via a vertical auger into the horizontal conditioner. The conditioner provides further mixing for consistency, and feeds the pellet mill. The conditioner is also variable speed. Pellet Cooling With Fines Removal Depending on the productivity required, a subtlety rated ZLP Pellet Mill is matched to the small static plant. From the smallest productivity of the ZLP 200 at up to 100Kg/h, to the ZLP 400 at up to 350Kg/h. Once the pellets have been formed, they need to be cooled before storage and excess fines must be removed. A cooler and grade sieve is included in the small static plant. |

Semi-Automated Pellet Bagging System If required a semi-automated pellet bagging system can also be included with the small static pellet plant. The pellets are carried from the cooler via bucket elevator up to the storage container, with a level indicator. The bagging system can meter out a set weight of pellets from the storage container above. The scope is from 5-25Kg per bag, the bags are then sealed and then a conveyor moves the bag off the system to be placed on a palate ready for the customer.
